04) If I bought you a drink what would it be? Jamba juice! (it's a boosted fruit smoothy thing out here - really good)

06) What was the last book you read? It depresses me I don't remember. I need to read more.
07) What sign are you? (original question was for zodiac but I find that kind of boring, so any kind of sign!) I still answer Gemini.
08) Any Tattoos and/or Piercings? Explain where. One tattoo on lower left back. Cartilage and lobe piercings in each ear, left nostril, septum, tongue, and navel.
09) Worst Habit? Obsessing. :P
10) If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride? Not likely. Partly because of the scary world thing and partly because I had people offer me rides when I was trying to get exercise.
11) What is your favorite sport? Bellydance or yoga. More "traditionally", I'd say baseball.
12) Do you have a Pessimistic or Optimistic attitude? I'm more of a realist and can go either way on pessimist or optimist depending on the situation.
13) What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me? Stuck, like trapped? Probably try and look for a common interest to talk about (I usually ask about hobbies and go from there).
14) Worst thing to ever happen to you? Hmm... Carpal tunnel, I think. It was mostly the timing.
15) Tell me one weird fact about you. I have a bizarre memory for numbers and can call for pizza in several states and can remember phone numbers from many, many moves and numbers ago. This also translates to account numbers. Oh, and never tell me a pin. Unless they changed it, I could still open the safe from my first job.

17) What if I showed up at your house unexpectedly? I'd welcome you in and make tea and talk books. Oh, possibly do one of those quick cleaning things with an "apologize about the mess."
18) What was your first impression of me? Smart, interesting, and nice.
19) Do you think clowns are cute or scary? Scary. I hate clowns.
20) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be? Get rid of the cellulite on my thighs. Stupid genetics.
21) Would you be my crime partner or my conscience? It'd be case dependent to be honest. I'll go either way.

24) Bottle or can soda? No soda at all but I will pour ginger ale into a glass and I drink bottled beer.
25) If you won $10,000 today, what would you do with it? Pay off some of my debt. It's depressing how much emphasis there would be on the "some."
26) Is your career path what you expected? No. I figured I'd be more hands-on experimentalist.
27) Where's your favorite place to hang out? At bellydancer things with my boyfriend. Good music, dancing is encouraged, and there are always interesting people from all over around.

1. If it means romantic/marriage/sexual, the answer is no (*sigh*)
2. First I wanted to be a horse. Then I wanted to own a horse. Then I wanted to marry Paul McCartney. Somewhere in there I wanted to be a rock'n'roll star and pursued that in a remarkably foot-shooting fashion; now I'm grateful I didn't succeed, at least not in my youth!
3. I'm actually pretty rich in talent; what I REALLY want is better character, more discipline - I'd make better use of the talents I have *sigh*... chocolate, anyone?!
4. 95% of the time it would be a fairly dry, fairly big red wine.
5. Lightly steamed broccoli, also very fond of fresh sweet corn with butter (Iowa heritage coming out).

11. I loved playing volleyball, tennis, swimming and walking. For watching, anything with horses, from Grand Prix (hunter/jumper) to dressage to racing to rodeo...
12. I was shocked, shocked, I tell you, to learn that I am an optimist.
13. That would depend on what *you* were doing. If you were panicking, I'd help you calm down. Otherwise we'd sit down, get comfy and talk. Starting with Tolkien, no doubt--

Worse than being robbed (and tied up) at gunpoint when I was 20 years old and worse than seeing a woman commit suicide by jumping from a 5th floor window (ran up, held my umbrella over her as she died--), I would have to say being completely blindsided by my (ex-) husband abandoning me and our marriage in Barcelona, Spain - being seriously deceived, and with great hostility, that sucked. For years it sucked.

28. Yeah, although I don't know what they are. I certainly believe in non-human, non-physical intelligences and have run into both benign and malevolent. I really don't know if "ghosts" are human soul fragments or human 'place echoes,' as it were, or demonic harassment. Or something else entirely.
29. Making music with friends, hanging out with friends, making art (making art with friends!)...
30. Not any more although I did go through a very foul-mouthed decade or so.
31. Bad/thoughtless drivers. Basically people who increase the risk of my death (or the death of my friends or family. Or even total strangers) by their ineptitude, stupidity, or selfishness (texting while driving? Give me an f'ing break!)

33. I do appreciate it, I love love. Believe it? I dunno.
34. A really nice chicken curry (a flavorful korma, fr'instance); food I most loathe: bleu cheese (nearly all stinky cheeses fall into this category).
35. Absolutely. I tried very hard to be an atheist and failed miserably; it seems to be almost hardwired in me.
