Things getting better just now
Jan. 4th, 2007 06:04 pmBecause of a cancellation I got an emergency dental appointment early in the morning, and after some downtime to get over the stress and lost sleep life seems much better. Of course my work is even more delayed, but if nothing else goes wrong it may still be possible to catch up ...

Date: 2007-01-04 06:36 pm (UTC)Then there will be a couple more wallet-emptying visits to fit a crown, and that particular job should not only be done, but stay done for a long while. Ideally until I am cloggs up, or until stem-cell research makes it possible to grow a set of new and perfect teeth for folks like me!
So, tell us more about the job, like Wellinghall said

Date: 2007-01-04 08:13 pm (UTC)It is good not to overlook checkups. I forgot for the whole time I was at university, then when, in my first job, I made an appointment for a routine check I really regretted forgetting for so long.
Nowadays the methods to preserve children's teeth is better than before, with things like fissure sealing, so her gnashers could stay in as good health as the rest of her seemed to be last time I remember seeing her.

Date: 2007-01-07 03:54 pm (UTC)I am even marginally less behind in my work, though actually catching up may be a bit optimistic. If the final part of the second prototype works as well as the rest of it, and if the software development studio will talk to the insystem programmer, and if the GNU C compiler will integrate with it as it it supposed to, and if .... then with help from someone who speaks C fluently I might get the processor to switch the charging LED on when it detects charge current - if we're very lucky, this evening. Date: 2007-01-08 03:17 pm (UTC)Sorry to hear of your tooth problems - toothache is a truly awful pain, worse even than what I've been putting up with. My Dr prescribed me paracetamol with codeine, which is pretty good - I tried buying this over the counter, but the non-prescription versions have less codeine, contain caffeine (no good when you want to go to sleep!) and cost a small fortune into the bargain.
However I rather wish that my problems could be sorted out with a couple of visits and a bit of drilling... I too am woefully behind with many things, but whatever this costs me, at least it isn't money. Don't stress about catching up, it'll work out.
